Why does my candle have craters on its surface after every burn?

It's a normal occurrence due to the nature of 100% natural soy wax. The wax cools and solidifies at an uneven rate, creating a rough or cratered top. This doesn't affect your candle's performance and is often seen as a sign of pure soy wax being used.

Do I need to trim my wicks before every burn?

Yes, you should always trim your candle wicks to ¼ inch (about 6mm) before each burn. This ensures a safe and even burn by preventing excessive soot buildup and maintaining a proper flame size. However, because we use self-trimming wicks, you shouldn’t have to trim them as much.

Why is my candle tunneling?

We tested many different wicks to ensure that the ones we use allow a full pool of melted wax to be reached in about 2-3 hours. The right way to burn a candle is to let it burn until the top layer of wax is completely melted across the top of the vessel. This is especially important on the initial burn, but consistently burning this way will ensure your candle burns evenly throughout its use. Keep in mind that this could take a couple of hours, depending on the size of the candle, so try not to light your candle unless you can give it the time it needs to burn evenly.

Why are the vessels not exactly identical in colors?

Our vessels are handcrafted by skilled artisans in Spain using 100% recycled glass. Due to the handmade process, some subtle variations in color can be seen between vessels, making each one unique.
